A special congratulations is in order to the winners of this year’s Watermelon Eating Contest held at the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market! Hosted by the Cherokee County Farm Bureau, the contest was split into a children’s and adult’s category.

Meet Liz Porter: she is the owner of the nearby Buckeye Creek Farm and sliced up nearly 150 pounds of watermelon! I love this lady!

Is there anything better than to be a kid on a summer’s day with all the fresh watermelon you can eat? This smile says no.
